Dr. Jason Holtom
With a special interest in family eye care, contact lenses and vision therapy. Dr. Jason Holtom has been practicing in Alberta since he graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in 1994. Dr. Holtom has been certified for refractive surgery co-management since 2000. In 2012, Dr. Holtom completed post-graduate studies in Vision Therapy and Behavioral Optometry. When he isn't at The Eye Studio caring for patients, Dr. Holtom enjoys spending time with his wife Tedra and their four children, working out and serving in the Kids' Ministry at Crossroads Church.
Dr. Tedra Kindopp
Dr. Tedra Kindopp grew up in Red Deer, Alberta. She earned an undergraduate biochemistry degree in 1993 and then went on to the University of Waterloo, graduating from the School of Optometry in 1997. During her studies, Dr. Kindopp worked with Dr. John Flanagan on glaucoma research and completed an externship in Birmingham, Alabama in cataracts and glaucoma. After initially working in Edmonton, Jason and Tedra made the decision to move back to Tedra's hometown for their family and open The Eye Studio. In 2014, Dr. Kindopp began post-graduate courses in vision therapy in the areas of Developmental Optometry, Syntonic Light Therapy and Post-Concussion Rehabilitation.
Dr. Sophia Leung
On an international level, Dr. Leung fostered her passion in ocular disease at the John D. Dingell VA Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She was also involved with establishing a grassroots humanitarian optometry clinic in Nicaragua, for which she received the J. Pat Cummings Scholarship in 2012. In 2017, Dr. Leung completed her Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry, continuing to further her special interest in primary care and ocular disease.
Dr. Leung is currently serving on the council for the Alberta Association of Optometrists. Outside of work, Dr. Leung is a food enthusiast, she loves to support live and local music, and stays active with running, biking, and soccer.
